The Easy Gripper Crane improve safety and efficiency. It saves time, and it reduces strain and risks for the operator significantly, making it an ideal tyre handler for everything from tractors and agriculture equipment to material handlers and construction equipment.

Ideal for on-site tyre service, workshops, and OEMs

The Easy Gripper Crane is designed for use with knuckle boom cranes, workshop cranes and overhead cranes and offers the optimal flexibility allowing the operator to be able to both transport and mount AGRO and OTR tyres and wheels – even single-handedly.

Capability

The Easy Gripper Crane has a gripping range of Ø1.200 – 2.395 mm (47 – 94”) and a lifting capacity of 1.200 kg (2.645 lbs) at a CoG of 500 mm (19.7”).

Tyre handling in any environment

The Easy Gripper Crane makes it easy to handle a tyre or wheel and place it on e.g. a truck bed, in a storage rack, or mount/demount it on a vehicle.
The Easy Gripper Crane is especially suitable for on-site tyre handling in difficult terrain where utilization of the long reach of the knuckle boom crane is imperative.

Configuration options

The Easy Gripper Crane can be configured in different ways. The Easy Gripper Crane is designed for use with knuckle boom cranes, workshop cranes and overhead cranes and can be delivered in two versions:

Interchangeable Gripper Arm Sets

The gripper arms are supplied as standard in two different set-sizes, covering the following gripping diameters:

1.200 – 1.800 mm (47 – 71”) – short gripper arm set
1.790 – 2.390 mm (70 – 94”) – long gripper arm set

A gripper arm set is supplied with a flat top arm, which makes it possible to grip a wheel when, for example, there is limited space between the tyre and the mudguard.

Different sized connecting rods for hook mounted version:

The connecting rods comes as standard in three different lengths:

700 mm (28”)
1.000 mm (39”)
2.300 mm (91”)

Which length connecting rod you should choose depends on your specific set-up.

Technical Requirements

Hydraulic supply: 1 or 2 double acting circuits (A+B port)

Connection options

If the crane has 2 hydraulic circuits at the end of the crane boom these can be connect directly to the respective cylinders. This gives the operator the possibility to operate both the tilt and the clamping functions directly from the remote control of the crane.
If the crane has 1 hydraulic circuit at the end of the crane boom, the circuit can be connected to a directional valve mounted on the Easy Gripper Crane. This gives the operator the possibility to operate the tilt function directly from the remote control of the crane. When the operator wants to use the clamping function, he will have to use the same function on the remote control and at the same time activate the spring-loaded directional valve. In this way we will have our usual safety precaution of a two-hand operation for open/close build-in the way to operate the crane.
If no hydraulic circuits are available at the end of the crane boom you can use an air hydraulic pump or our PowerPack to operate the two functions.
– If using an air hydraulic pump, you have to make sure that this pump is able to deliver sufficient oil flow to give a decent cycle time for the two hydraulic functions.
– The Powerpack is an electro-hydraulic system including control system with its own remote control on a 5-meter cable and a 10-meter power supply cable. The powerpack require a 3x 400V power supply.
